Sunday Look: Triple Hiss

Happy Sunday Guys! Can you believe we are approaching the last week of February? It will be Spring before we know it.  This weather has certainly been a roller coaster of temperatures, (up and down).  Some nights we find ourselves sitting at our grand daughter’s soccer game all wrapped up in blankets to sitting in the stands dressed in long sleeves watching our other grand daughter participate in a cheerleader showcase.  That’s Texas weather!  Today’s weather was perfect for an outdoor photoshoot.

Today’s outfit “Triple Hiss”  Why? Because I’m wearing triple reptile prints.  My jumpsuit, shoes and handbag all reptile print.  I was really excited to try it.  I love how all the different prints tie-in together.  I don’t follow any rules, If I  like it, I wear it…

The jumpsuit is from last season (no longer available) bold reptile print showcases wide short sleeves and a belted waist.

Accessorizing was so easy.  I immediately went for the reptile bootie.  I love the contrast of the two prints together.  I could have easily chosen a black heel, how boring is that? 😉 .  I did pair black beaded bow earrings and a beaded necklace.

My BAG today, a reptile print box clutch/shoulder-bag. Again the reptile print was a nice contrast to the jumpsuit and booties.

Sunday Look: Heritage Sunday- An African Celebration

Hello, Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine Weekend.  I sure did. The husband and I managed to snag a dinner reservation at the last minute. I skipped last weeks Blog Post, the dress I wore was previously blogged back in December of 2016, it still fit! ↓↓

Last October, I walked in a fashion show wearing a local designers African Clothing.  I was able to purchase a few pieces afterwards.  I wore one of the pieces for my birthday photoshoot last month.  This dress is called “Apuk”. ↓↓

Every February our church celebrates Heritage Sunday. It’s such an exciting time.  Today we had African Dancers accompanied by drummers. And a sermon fitting for the occasion. That brings me to today’s outfit. It was originally suppose to be a two piece pant suit.  Unfortunately the pants were too big (I guess I lost a few pounds since I purchased it).  I searched my closet to find something that would work with the jacket. I remembered I had this little green dress from a few years ago that I’d never worn.  I was wowed at how the two went together.  I took the sash from the jacket and used it as a high-waist tie on the dress. Instant gratification!

The accessories had to fit the occasion.  I always try to pull out one color in the fabric to accessorize.  Round disc earrings and my go-to wooden multi-colored beaded necklace paired ever so lovely.  I didn’t have green heels, (which I think would look amazing) I opted for a neutral high heel pump.  I love when the unexpected comes together.

My BAG, an Ark shaped bamboo handbag finished the look.

Sunday Look: Utility Jumpsuit

Happy Super Sunday! Today is the day, Super Bowl Sunday… No big party plans over here.  Just me and the husband hanging out. Did you know that today’s date is a rare eight-digit palindrome (reads the same, forward and backward), 02/02/2020 — the only one of its kind this century!

I usually designate Super Bowl Sunday as a casual or dress down kinda day.  I did that (I think) in this Utility Jumpsuit.  This jumpsuit reminded me of my childhood.  My uncle wore a utility Jumpsuit all the time.  I think my dad did too.  It has all the components, front zipper, utility pockets and elastic waist with an attached belt. Upon first look, you either like it or you hate it, that was my first impression.  In order to settle that argument in my head, I had to try it on.  Surprisingly, I loved it!  It’s very comfortable, the fabric has the feel of suede.  The print is a snake skin.  I’m wearing a medium.

This jumpsuit can be styled so many different ways.  I was going for a semi casual look.  I accessorized light today.  Only wearing large gold hoop earrings with pearls and a gold choker.  My shoes made it dressy.  Yes. I mixed my prints.  Animal print heels went so well with the golden color of the fabric.  I consider animal print a neutral, which means it goes with anything. NO RULES…

My BAG, a small black suede handbag with a colorful tie enter-twined between the chain handle.
