Welcome to the First Sunday in October!  Today I’m taking it to the MAX!!  Maxi dress, big bag and 5 1/2 inch heels (I lined up four different shoes to see which one had the highest heel) giving me the added height I needed for such a long maxi dress.  When you are 5ft. 4in. you have to come up with creative ways to stand tall 😉

The floral skirt and solid black bodice transitions well into a Texas Fall morning.   Later on… I can add a cardigan or denim jacket. “This dress was a steal of a deal”

I accessorized with a belt (to cinch my waist), long tri-color necklace, tri-color earrings, single glass bangle and gold watch.  Today I brought out the BIG BAG, I call this one my “doctor bag”…xo

Welcome to FALL!!   I must admit I can feel a slight shift in the temperature.  But that doesn’t mean I’m convinced, I need to feel more LOL.  Today I chose to wear Culottes and a Crop Top.  It’s the perfect outfit to start off the Fall season.  These culottes can certainly be re-styled with a pair of boots as the temperature drops and we move into Winter.  The possibilities are endless.  I will certainly get a huge bang for my buck on these for sure 😉 .
I always say Crop Top and that’s what it is, BUT I’m way to old to have my skin showing.  Lucky for me my torso is short and nothing shows. The top falls just above the waist-line.
I accessorized today with a long back and gold necklace and watch, black earrings and gold bracelet, all very simple.  The BAG, I know I always say I love my bags which I do! this one was in a clearance bin at Marshall’s I couldn’t believe it.  Been itching to carry it and today was the day.  Don’t be surprised if you see it again real soon…
Kudos to my husband for capturing some great angles today.  He made me look skinny!!

Well, today is the last Sunday of Summer. (Even though nothing will be changing for a while 🙁 )  Last year I ended the last Sunday of Summer in floral print. Today’s summer finale, this Ice Blue, box pleated, fit and flare sleeveless dress.  To my surprise it even has pockets! Notice the embellished boat neckline which I’m usually not a fan.  I normally remove them (if I can) because they can look cheap especially on a dress that’s NOT cheap.  But this one made the cut, no pun intended LOL!
Even though summer ends this week on the 22nd, that doesn’t mean we have to put away ALL of our summer attire.  Some things can take us well into Fall especially if you live in Texas.  So do your best to keep cool as we transition.. wear whatever you like…
Let’s  talk accessories; I chose a watercolor print pointed toe pump ♥ that pointed toe.   Added a bold pearl like bracelet and pearl & clear stone combination earrings.  THE BAG… today I chose this cream box clutch with gold beads.  LVE MY BAGS…

Happy Sunday… There is something about a Lady in a “Suit”  Years ago I wore suits quite often.  I stopped wearing them even though they’ve never gone out of style (never will).

We had no idea this fabric would be so hard to photograph.  Hope the photos don’t make you dizzy 🙂 LOL!!!

Seersucker is the ultimate spring and summer fabric, stylish, comfortable, light weight and cool.  I thought, summer is winding down I better wear this one today!  There is only one more Sunday before FALL arrives… looking forward to some cooler weather and a change in wardrobe.  Not sure how soon that will be after all  we live in TEXAS, these warm temperatures could be around a little longer.

When I bought this suit (which was sold as separates) I should have bought an extra pair of slacks and had them made into a pair of shorts for another stylish look.  Missed opportunity!     The only accessories I wore was a pair of earrings and of course my polka dot Blue Bag.  I thought it would be unexpected to mix the two prints.  This bag is VERY OLD, I purchased three of them red, black and blue polka dot.  I do that sometimes, why not. 😉 …

Happy Sunday!  Today’s outfit FRINGE and more fringe.  I don’t see fringe going away anytime soon.  It was huge last year and I think it can still hold its own today.  As Fall approaches and Winter sets in you will see me in it again (fringe that is…) I hope we have a real Winter this year 😉
I purchased this dress a good while ago from one of the big box discount stores.  It doesn’t matter where you get your clothes or how much you pay for them, you can still look good.
“You make the clothes, the clothes don’t make you”.
The dress being full of fringe made a statement of its own.  I couldn’t help myself when it came to the shoes.  Why not make it a head to toe fringe look.  My bare legs broke up the space between the dress and shoes making the two work well together.  I’m hardly ever without a statement piece around my neck and today was no exception LOL.  How about my little bag of the week…. it’s perfect, adding just a hint of color.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend.

I have to start out by saying “what a powerful word” we had in church this morning.          Exodus 2:11-15 “The Moses Predicament”

Let’s talk about today’s outfit. You know when you’re out browsing and you run across a dress you don’t like but for some reason you keep going back and you had to try it on. Well! That was me, meet “Jackleen”… After trying it on I was in LOVE. I can’t quite put my finger on just one thing I like about it; the butterfly sleeves, ruffled hem, fabric, etc.

This dress has endless possibilities. It can be styled with flats, a floppy hat, even pearls. Not sure how I will style it the next time I wear it. I will be sure to let you know.

I’m thinking I kept the accessories to a minimum, did I really? The FUN ACCESSORY this week: my Cigar Box Purse. It’s old, I’ve had it for many years, so many that I forgot all about it. I found it a few weeks ago, boy was I excited! Isn’t she cute? That’s it for today, see you next time XO…

Happy Rainy Sunday… Each Sunday I journey into my closet and see all the wonderful dresses I’ve yet to wear. Some two or more years old like today’s dress. I was so happy this one fit 😉 Been wanting to wear it for a while now.
I think I made a good choice in today’s outfit. Midnight black dress with pink Eiffel Towers,  flared skirt and a slight high-low hemline. “I wonder if it’s raining in Paris” I added a pink belt to give me a waistline. I could have titled this one “fun and flirty”
This was a great opportunity to wear PINK shoes! How often do I get to do that…? I could have easily worn black shoes but I wanted to keep the color going right down to my feet. I added the normal accessories: colorful drop earrings, bangles and a tiered necklace. I didn’t forget the bag the BAG, this multicolored faux snake skin was just the one.   I love my bags…

Hello again!  Today was a play on dots, huge ones LOL…  I attempted to wear these culottes last week but I just couldn’t get it together.  So I thought I would give it another try today.  Believe it or not this particular pair has a variety of styling options ( I think that was my problem, too many options).  I could have added a white blazer or went super casual with flats and a tank top.  I decided on this very feminine sleeveless V-neck top and of course platform heels 😉 .
Style Tip: In addition to what I mentioned above.  This Winter I will pair an oversized white sweater and gray suede boots.
Today’s outfit was a great opportunity to accessorize!  This necklace yall, this NECKLACE! “I LOVE IT” it fits perfectly with my v- neck top. As for shoes, I’ve always found it very difficult to find a white shoe that I really like.  I purchased these last year. They gave me the lift I wanted 🙂 I added a few more basic accessories: earrings, my watch which had a little bit of bling and my all time favorite “glass bracelets” (I’m addicted to the noise they make).  Lastly, you know me and my BAGS, I was really torn but this beauty won out… so chic!

Blessed for another Sunday!  You know sometimes you have one of those days where nothing seems to fit or doesn’t look right.  Well today was one of those days.  Let’s just say I have some work to do 😉 .

On the flipside of all that madness…. You know its good when you can grab a dress from your closet and all you really need to do is add shoes.  This is basically all I did, “added shoes” LOL…  This black and white tribal print long dress with side slits took NO EFFORT to style.  And after the way my morning started its a good thing.  This dress is so simple. I didn’t need a necklace, the embellished neck was enough.  Since a girl needs to wear some kind of jewelry, I kept it simple by adding earrings of course, watch, understated bangles, rings (one with a pop of color) and a RED LIP

Style Tip: No matter how “Simple or Understated” it’s all fashion

Happy Sunday everyone!  It seems like I have worn a lot of orange this month.  Sometimes I get stuck on a certain color and just run with it.  Since summer is in full bloom I’m running with anything cool during these high temperatures!   Today’s outfit a shirt dress in orange, burgundy and yellow green PAISLEY PATTERN with a surprise… “pockets”  I think all girls love them some pockets 🙂
Yes! Paisley is still in style and designers keep finding cleaver ways for us to fall in love with this pattern over and over.
I attempted to pull out the green in the dress by wearing a shoe in the same color.  Its a pleasant surprise at the end.   I think the orange purse was a much better choice than wearing one the same color as my shoes.  I didn’t need much jewelry either.  I wore an understated watch, gold necklace with a stone and three glass bangles in shades of orange, nothing more.  We don’t  have to load up with jewelry every time we step out.  Sometimes less is more!  In this case less was more because those SHOES speak for the entire outfit…  Remember there are not rules, if you like it, wear it…
