HAPPY SUNDAY… Well, am I bright or what? You know I Love COLOR. I’ve been looking in my closet week after week at this skirt and top. I loved it on the hanger but wasn’t sure about it being on me LOL.

Its bright I know, but I do LOVE it… There is something to be said for a Crop Top and A-line Skirt, they go well together. Its very flirty  🙂 The raised flower petal detail is so strong I didn’t need to add many accessories. I kept the necklace simple and opted for a toned down shoe color.

Lets talk about my bag. I was so excited to carry it today and it was PERFECT with my outfit. It’s not vintage but instead a vintage replica, I will cherish it for years to come.

Style Tip: Don’t be afraid of color. Take your time in choosing the right color, mix and match contrasting colors they really make a statement.

Happy Sunday everyone! What a busy weekend and its finally coming to an end. No time to really plan an outfit for today. I guess I got lucky with this fit and flare skirt and tangerine high-low top. I purchased both of them a while ago [at separate times] not knowing how I would style either. I love the flow of this skirt, its giving me that Stepford Wives vibe. Instead of just letting the top swallow me up, I belted it (WITH A POP OF COLOR) for a more flattering appearance. It gives a totally different look than if I had left it loose.

My mint green bag is the statement piece to this outfit, it says SPRING (yasssss!) My shoes (BOGO) are loaded with bright colors and ties the entire outfit together. Lastly, PEARLS are always a good idea!  Don’t you just love COLOR?  I couldn’t have planned this if I tried.

Style Tip- You know you got it right when the complements flow.

Prepping for “PROM”

It’s Prom Time…Today I am featuring my granddaughter “Shelby” as she prepares for Prom.  She is so excited about tonight.  I tried to capture every moment up to her departure.  She felt so special today being catered to and  pampered.  As you know getting ready for Prom is almost like getting ready for a wedding.  There are tons of preparation before that final WHAAAAAA!  Why is it that the guys have it so easy.  All they have to do is rent a tux, shave and get a haircut?  Us not so much… nails, feet, hair, makeup, dress, shoes, purse, jewelry…. lastly Dads approval.  That we got…… 🙂

It wasn’t stressful at all, instead lots of fun.  We knew this day was coming so we purchased the dress months ago.   I think that’s a pretty good rule… helps to keep the stress level down.  Of course it doesn’t hurt when you have a grandmother that has tons of jewelry and purses 😉   Shelby looks fabulous as well as respectable.

Oh! one more thing, “YES” she had a date… but this is all about SHELBY!

Happy Anniversary “Style Your Best Beauti“

It’s our  First Anniversary!  In celebration of our first anniversary, I thought I would recreate my very first outfit post by wearing the very same outfit I wore a year ago.  Lucky for me it still fits… 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day!!! Mother’s Day always leaves me a little sad because I can’t share it with my mother. But, I get to share it with my two beautiful children.

Today I chose to do something a little different. Since it is Mother’s Day I decided to go a little more formal, after all it’s a special day.

This maxi was purchased during one of my quantity shopping sprees. Remember I told you a while back sometimes I hit up the BIG BOX DISCOUNT STORES and go for it!

Style Tip – “The clothes don’t make you, You make the clothes”.

I added some pizzazz with this statement necklace. This maxi is versatile, I can take it to casual by adding a headband, flat sandals, big hoop earrings and a simple necklace.

 I’m also a collector of bags, mainly “clutches” I always have one to complete my outfits.

Greetings! Happy Sunday to all… Today’s outfit is pretty simple and tight LOL. I’m a fan of the pencil skirts because they really give you a BUTT. I LOVE this one even if I had to take “baby steps”. It’s a skinny pencil skirt! My peplum top helped to accentuate my curves and it’s the perfect top to wear with a pencil skirt.
To top it all off, I chose a matching necklace and earrings. Black fringe shoes added the WOW factor and pulled it all together.
Style Tip: A fitted peplum with emphasis on the cinched waist doesn’t hide curves but instead accentuates them nicely. On the other hand, if you’d like to make the hips look a bit larger, the flared version may be the best choice, since it will suggest a more hourglass style figure.
