Sunday Look: MOD

Happy first Sunday of 2019… Guess what guys? It’s my birthday week! My birthday is in two days. I’m so excited. 🙂 . Do you get birthday perks from merchants? I’ve gotten freebies and percentages off from jewelry to food and everything in-between. I may not be able to use them all, but I’m certainly going to try 😉 .

Is this weather playing tricks on us or what? That’s Texas weather for ya! I had to completely change up my wardrobe plans for today. The forecast wasn’t favorable for what I was planning to wear.

Today’s outfit, a matching two piece (sold separately). A MOD long duster-inspired vest with oversized patch pockets paired with slim straight leg pants. This look is so retro, especially the print. It reminds me of the 70’s. Plaid has been a huge trend for the Fall and Winter seasons. I should be able to restyle this outfit by wearing the pants without the vest and pairing the vest with jeans or a long skirt with boots.

It didn’t take much to accessories this outfit. A long pearl & gold necklace and earrings did the job. I wore cream colored suede pointy toe pumps. Wearing the lighter colors enhanced the colors of the plaid.

My BAG, a cream fold-over clutch with patches of animal print. I thought it would be fun to mix the plaid and animal print. I love mixing different patterns and textures together. The two paired very well together.

Sunday Look: Year End Glitter & New Year’s Eve Glamour

Happy New Year’s Eve!  2017 is almost out of here…  What a year!  We are so blessed to see another year, for that I am thankful.
This is the last blog post of 2017,  I spent last night thinking how I would end this last Sunday of the year.  I put a lot of thought into each outfit I wear, whether it’s dressing for a specific holiday or season.  It’s all planned out each week, well most weeks 😉 .  I enjoy bringing you my looks each week and I hope you enjoy them too.
None of this would be possible without the support of my husband.  He takes all my photos without a single complaint.  I’m so fortunate to have him support my hobby 🙂 .

                                                           The Man behind the camera!

I felt the need to end the year in a little glitz.  Today’s outfit features a little glitter by way of this one-button glitter dot boyfriend blazer. The sleek look of the blazer paired with a straight leg crop pant makes for a polished look.  The one -button blazer meant I had to add a top.  I added a simple shell in the same color keeping the look sleek.

This outfit was very easy to accessorize.  The gold glitter certainly called for a chunky gold chain.  I added gold dangling earrings to the mix and finished the look with a watch, gold bangles and a gold pointy toe shoe.
BABY it was COLD outside today.  I wore a neon yellow/green wool coat and black gloves.

My BAG today was an oldie, a simple rectangular clutch in gold added the old school glamour making this look classic.

Tonight as we count down to 2018, my husband and I will ring it in with a party for two.  We rarely go out for New Years Eve.  Staying home provides a safe and comfortable environment for us.  Now don’t get me wrong, we dress up for our party of two.  Tonight I’m wearing a long cream colored gown with a sequence bodice and long taffeta skirt. We will be sipping champagne till 2018.  However you choose to celebrate, please be safe and please, please don’t drink and drive.  See  you back here in 2018. While you’re at it, give me a like on this post 🙂 .
