Sunday Look: Fern Print Shirt Dress

Happy Sunday!  Another great week for the memory books.  This weekend like most, we were busy with the grand girls sporting events.  We spent our entire Saturday outside.  Oh the excitement!
I was exhausted when we got home last night.  There was no time nor energy to plan for today’s outfit.  This morning I literarily reached my hand inside one of my closets and pulled out the first dress that caught my eye.  I tried it on, it fit and the rest is what you see LOL.  Believe me this is highly unusual for me.  I usually try on three or four different outfits.  I think I’m overthinking it.  Today was so easy, reach, pull, wear 🙂 .  I purchased this dress maybe two seasons ago not quite sure.  I’m not a big fan of long sleeves.  I have to wear them at some point, today seemed like a good day to do so.

This dress may look like its accented in black but its “gray”.  I figured since its Fall (or suppose to be) I could wear it not only for the color but for the long sleeves.  I love the bold fern leaf print.  Its sort of a shirt dress kicked up a notch.  With a print this bold I didn’t need heavy accessories.  Even though I chose a large pendant necklace, the colored stones are somewhat muted and doesn’t take over the print.  I kept the earrings simple as well.  When it came to shoes I thought I would mix the patterns.  I chose snakeskin platform round toe pumps in the same color pallet.

My bag today was a simple woven clutch.  No frills!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and we’ll see what comes next week!

Happy Sunday everyone!  It seems like I have worn a lot of orange this month.  Sometimes I get stuck on a certain color and just run with it.  Since summer is in full bloom I’m running with anything cool during these high temperatures!   Today’s outfit a shirt dress in orange, burgundy and yellow green PAISLEY PATTERN with a surprise… “pockets”  I think all girls love them some pockets 🙂
Yes! Paisley is still in style and designers keep finding cleaver ways for us to fall in love with this pattern over and over.
I attempted to pull out the green in the dress by wearing a shoe in the same color.  Its a pleasant surprise at the end.   I think the orange purse was a much better choice than wearing one the same color as my shoes.  I didn’t need much jewelry either.  I wore an understated watch, gold necklace with a stone and three glass bangles in shades of orange, nothing more.  We don’t  have to load up with jewelry every time we step out.  Sometimes less is more!  In this case less was more because those SHOES speak for the entire outfit…  Remember there are not rules, if you like it, wear it…

Happy 4th of July to all.   Let the Festivities begin… It’s all about the RED WHITE & BLUE…This was my attire for the days leading up to July 4th weekend. This light weight 100% cotton shirt dress was purchased at TJ Maxx for less than $20.  Remember the scarves I told you about back in May that  I found for a whopping $1.00 each, well… They are perfect for this time of year. I will use them again and again. As you can see any bag will do.

My second look is more casual.  Boyfriend jeans and white top. Couldn’t forget the red shoes… Again, I was able to sport one of my $1.00 scarves to complete the look. Just a few pieces is all it take.

Looking forward to the 4th for some good food, family and FIREWORKS!!!

Happy 4th and be safe…
