Sunday Look: Holiday Red “Plaid Palazzo Pants”

Hello Happy Sunday! Only a few more days until Christmas, are we ready?  I still need to grocery shop for Christmas dinner and the dreaded wrapping, UGH!  I am looking forward to our annual family Christmas Eve get-together.   I love making memories for our grandgirls.  Be sure to watch my FB page to see what matching outfits we chose this year.

In addition to my Sunday Look, I want to share a few of my holiday decorations.  I love sprucing up the house  for the holidays.

Today’s look kept with my Holiday RED theme.  I decided to incorporate plaid into the mix.  Plaid is very popular for Christmas.  I chose a pair of high waisted palazzo pants paired with a black long sleeve blouse with a twisted keyhole neck.  Sometimes I wish I were a little bit taller.  I had to have about six inches cut off the bottom of these pants.  Thank goodness for high heels.

This entire Holiday Season, I’ve only needed a necklace once. This makes styling my outfits so easy. Today I only wore red rhinestone earrings. I chose a two-toned heel in red and cream.

My BAG today matched my shoes. I don’t normally match my shoes and bag.  Since I had them both, why not!

Finally, I would like to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas! I hope you have a safe and happy holiday with your families.

Sunday Look: Vintage Tea

Happy Sunday…. Man what a rainy weekend we’ve had. When I say it has been pouring buckets, I’m not kidding. I had to cancel plans on Saturday due to the weather. So, what did I do? I played dress-up in my closet. If you need something to do on a rainy day, try playing dress-up.

This morning was raining buckets again. Even though I decided last night what I was going to wear, I almost changed my mind because of the rain. I almost went super casual by putting on jeans and rain boots.

So let me spill the tea about today’s outfit. It was all about the top, I really didn’t want to waste it on jeans for the first time. As I was playing dress-up yesterday, I decided on these black palazzo pants (with pockets) to pair with this rose colored, very detailed vintage tiered lace top, featuring tiny like pom poms. The added detail of ruffled sleeves with the same tiny pom pom details and high neckline added to the vintage feel.

I played off the tiny pom poms in my accessories. I had these multi strand pom pom earrings with a matching necklace. I was like, this is the perfect combination! I love when that happens 🙂 . My palazzo pants are pretty long, I needed a high heel shoe so they wouldn’t drag the ground (especially in the rain). I chose a simple pointy toe heel.

I wanted my BAG to be equally as fun. I pulled out a round handbag with fringe details.

This top can be toned down by pairing it with a pair of black jeans. Exploring the possibilities could be fun.

Sunday Look: Plaid on Point

Happy Sunday… I hope everyone had a very pleasant Thanksgiving.  We had twelve family and friends at the dinner table, my heart was happy.   As a blogger I missed the opportunity to take advantage of the “Black Friday Sales”.  I’m sure there were some great deals out there I could have shared with you today.  Maybe next year 😉 .  I have to admit I was exhausted.  I must have been really tired, I did not wake up until around 8:50 am this morning.  This is highly unusual for me.  I’m usually up around 7:00 am.  I had no time to plan an outfit.  I picked the first thing I saw and added to it.  I have to admit it was so much easier, I didn’t have time to put a lot of thought into it.   I should do that more often 🙂 .  It’s officially the holiday season guys!  I’m excited for the holiday fashions.  I’m looking forward to seeing what you guys will be wearing this Holiday Season.
For this last Sunday in November, I’m feeling the Fall vibe.  I’ve been itching to wear plaid, It’s trending big-time right now!  I chose this plaid print top with a mix of hounds-tooth (or it chose me) with the look of two tops rolled into one, a twofer.  The bottom half looks like a corset with a tie front.  The top half is a classic shirt with collar and button front which I left unbuttoned.   I paired it with a pair of black palazzo pants.

My accessories were very simple.  I added a layered necklace within the button front.  Big earrings and a wide bracelet.  I wore black patent leather pointy toe heels to give me some height.  I’m  5’4″ and have to stay elevated for most of my pants to not drag the ground 😉 .

My BAG today was playful, a two toned black and white square clutch with YES & NO printed on each side.  Fun, fun, fun…

Style Tip:  This top would also look good with a long pencil skirt -or- A-line maxi skirt.

Sunday Look: Fall Debut

Happy Sunday and welcome to FALL!  Yay!… Fall is finally here, BUT it won’t feel like it for a while I’m sure 🙁 .  As you can tell I’m always commenting on the seasons, I can’t wait for some COOLER  weather! LOL.

What does one wear to start off the first Sunday of Fall?  I have to admit I struggled this morning.  After my third attempt I ended up in these very wide leg pants and cream top.  Easy right?

To accessorize my two piece ensemble, first thing I did was add a skinny belt to give me a waist.  Next, I’ve been itching to wear one of my favorite necklaces again, this beautiful long stranded pearl necklace.  I’m so in LOVE  with this necklace. It put the statement in “statement necklace “.  I wore pearl/silver earring that paired well with my necklace.  I slipped on an open toe high heel sandal.  My toes peeped-out just a little 🙂 .

Today’s BAG was whimsical.  When I first spotted this domino inspired clutch I was like “OH! ” that’s different and I like different… 😉 .  I thought it added a little bit of fun to the entire outfit.

What did you wear on the first day of Fall?

Todays outfit was easy.  The one piece palazzo pants.  I used the cover up for church and removed it later for lunch.  This one piece is from H&M and the cover up came from Belk, I picked it up while I was in Florida last year.  I had no idea what to do with it until today.  I can’t forget the necklace, it was a gift from my daughter.  Its’ quite the conversation piece and one of my favorite necklaces.

Today was my granddaughters birthday and we celebrated with lunch at Maggiano’s Little Italy in the Domain.

IMG_1921 YAY we had a dry Sunday after all…Today I decided to dress Springy  with a pop of COLOR and a little more casual than normal. I purchased these pants last Spring and had only worn them once. The Palazzo Pant, some people call them wide leg pants. I always thought I was too short to wear them. Honestly most of the time I have to have them altered to fit my 5ft. 4in. statute. But with my high heels I manage to rock them like the tall girls and you can too. I purchased the top at the same time. If I remember correctly this outfit was on the mannequin and I had to have it… My shoes are Gianni Bini and you already know I picked them up on sale per usual.   The purse was purchased from Sam Moon. Today was a BEAUTI,,, Today’s photo shoot was taken at the Amphitheater in downtown Round Rock. It was the perfect backdrop.     Photo Credit: Madalynn & Hayleigh Tanksley
