Sunday Look: Jumpsuit Season

Happy Sunday….. Welcome to S*P*R*I*N*G, we’ve finally come full circle. I think the worst is over now and we can all settle in and enjoy what’s to come.

It’s jumpsuit season and shoulder season. So pull out those jumpsuits, rompers and off-the-shoulder outfits. It’s time…

Today’s outfit, a two for one. A jumpsuit that’s off-the-shoulder. This particular one is Springy with all the floral print. I guess I got a three for one 😉 . This jumpsuit features a wide leg, popover bodice and elastic neckline. I purchased this jumpsuit last Spring, but never got to wear it. I plan on shopping my closet more, stay tuned to see what I pull out next 😉 . It’s all new to me if I pull the tag off for the first time!

Today’s accessories were very understated. A jumpsuit this colorful is enough to stand on its own. I kept the earring muted as well as the choker. My first thought was to not wear anything around my neck, which would’ve been perfectly fine. When wearing off-the-shoulder outfits, your shoulders are sometimes enough. I did add two colorful bangles, a must for me 🙂 . I decided to pull out the orange color in the jumpsuit with a deep orange high heel platform sandal.

My BAG today was an orange flap shoulder bag with gold hardware.

This outfit was effortless to style. Style should be effortless.

Sunday Look: Summer Ending Transition

Happy Sunday!  It’s hard to believe Summer is winding down with today being the last Sunday of the Summer season, YAY !  Transition mode is always on my mind every year this time.  We can easily hold onto Summer a little longer around here.  Lucky for us, we have the best of both Summer and Fall.  This is how I choose to transition my wardrobe…
Today I wore an off-the-shoulder mesh top adorned with pink satin ribbon around the bodice and arms. Notice the two little bows made from the same ribbon. This top is older, yet on trend.   You know what I always say,  “A woman’s shoulders is the most beautiful part of her body”  I  simply ♥ adore ♥ this look!  I paired the top with a pleated lined (lace) skirt.  The two make a fabulous fit and flare look.

Style Tip :  To make this into a FORMAL look; simply add a long maxi skirt.  It could be a long pencil skirt or a long fit and flare skirt.  Both would complete a formal look.
A choker is the perfect (jewelry) accessory for off-the-shoulder clothing.  I wore a very simple black choker and black earrings consisting of multiple baubles.  By far the quickest and easiest jewelry accessory choice.   A pointy toe black pump said “wear me”. It didn’t take much convincing 🙂 .

Today’s handbag was a fun clutch made to look like a camera with a playful bow attached to the zipper.  Perfect right? 😉 .

I’m looking forward to all your style transitions, so excited for the change.

Sunday Look: Church Picnic Gingham Style

Happy Sunday!  I seem to be really into gingham 🙂 . I’ve worn it a few times in the past weeks.   I’m very casual today, I have a good reason, today was our Church picnic.  What does one wear to a church picnic when you’re aiming for casual, comfortable and cool because it’s 100 degrees outside?  And be presentable for Church at the same time.

I specifically planned this outfit for today.  I thought it was the perfect picnic attire.  I chose an orange and white gingham smocked off-the -shoulder top with a long bell sleeve.  The back is accented with a bow. I paired it with a khaki ankle pant.  Pretty simple yet still cute right?   I accessorized with brown wedges and chose to wear wooden jewelry pieces and a wide gold bangle.

My BAG today was a bamboo circle body, beaded shoulder strap with a flat top closure.  These bamboo bags are trending big time right now.  That brings me to my next bag, Gaia’s Bamboo Big Natural.  I’ve wanted this bag for quite sometime now.  It’s perfect for a picnic, pool parties or the beach. It’s to die for…  😉 .  Best of all it’s collapsible, making storage easy.

Sunday Look: The Trapeze Dress

I’m back!  Last week I was on vacation and didn’t have a free moment to blog. If I get the chance I may do a short blog about my vacation.
Today’s outfit was fun.  This was my first time wearing what they call a trapeze dress (I think).  It’s like a tent so I guess the name is appropriate! And did I say I LOVE IT… LOL.  Its a smock black and white pinstripe dress, off the shoulder neckline with avant garde ruffled sleeves that create this totally on-trend silhouette.   Since I wore this dress to church I kept the shoulder exposure minimal. Trust me when I tell you its so cute totally off the shoulders. Remember what I said about the shoulders being the sexiest part of a woman’s body 😉 .

There was no need for any kind of chunky or statement necklace.  I did wear a simple choker.  I really didn’t need anything except for the usual lady accessories; earrings and bracelets.  I chose open strapy heels to finish the look.

My bag today was an edgy black tote with studs and  silver rings as handles.  It’s amazing how certain bags go well with certain outfits.  I seem to get it right every time!

Sunday Look: Off the Shoulder Maxi

Happy Palm Sunday!  Have you ever thought about what the most beautiful part of a woman’s body is?  I think it’s “Shoulders”.  There is something about the silhouette of our shoulders.  That’s why I’m so smitten with today’s look.  Believe it or not I don’t possess any off the shoulder clothing.  Just so happens, “Off the Shoulder” clothing is trending big -time right now!

I was hesitant to try it on when I found it, thinking I couldn’t pull it off.  But I fell in love with the way my shoulders looked and had to have it. (Being on the clearance rack helped that decision too!! LOL…)  Its pretty versatile, you can expose as little or as much shoulder as you like.  Most off the shoulder clothing come with removable straps (this one did).  I chose to remove the straps for my look.
This dress can be worn in so many different settings.  I wore strappy sandals with it to church, but you can easily wear flats of any kind.  I can see myself walking on the beach barefoot in this dress too 🙂 .

I kept my accessories simple.  I wore a very thin choker to not overpower the look. And I just happen to have the perfect pair of  earrings too.  Notice something different today?  Yes I’m wearing blue metal lip cream.  I’m certainly stepping outside my box, and I Love it!  It seems that a lot of others did as well.  I got tons of complements!  Of course I toned it down a bit for church 😉 .

My BAG: I chose this FUN colorful BOLD animal print bag.  I love to mix patterns and this one paired very well with the pattern of my dress.  You should never be afraid to mix patterns, anything goes especially if you like it!
