Sunday Look: Holiday Red “Plaid Palazzo Pants”

Image result for christmas border free"

Hello Happy Sunday! Only a few more days until Christmas, are we ready?  I still need to grocery shop for Christmas dinner and the dreaded wrapping, UGH!  I am looking forward to our annual family Christmas Eve get-together.   I love making memories for our grandgirls.  Be sure to watch my FB page to see what matching outfits we chose this year.

In addition to my Sunday Look, I want to share a few of my holiday decorations.  I love sprucing up the house  for the holidays.

Today’s look kept with my Holiday RED theme.  I decided to incorporate plaid into the mix.  Plaid is very popular for Christmas.  I chose a pair of high waisted palazzo pants paired with a black long sleeve blouse with a twisted keyhole neck.  Sometimes I wish I were a little bit taller.  I had to have about six inches cut off the bottom of these pants.  Thank goodness for high heels.

This entire Holiday Season, I’ve only needed a necklace once. This makes styling my outfits so easy. Today I only wore red rhinestone earrings. I chose a two-toned heel in red and cream.

My BAG today matched my shoes. I don’t normally match my shoes and bag.  Since I had them both, why not!

Finally, I would like to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas! I hope you have a safe and happy holiday with your families.

Sunday Look: Holiday Red “Let it Flow”

Hello guys! Happy Sunday. Let me start out by saying, what a great Christmas production we witnessed this morning by the youth of the church. They really told the true meaning of Christmas.

As the big day (Christmas) approaches, I have to ask, how is your holiday going? So many people fall into a deep depression for many reasons during the holiday season. It’s very important that we check on our friends and family. Just because we are happy, doesn’t mean others around us are happy. Be cognizant of that fact.

Somehow I’ve managed to keep with my yearly holiday tradition of RED. Today’s dress is a wide-cut in airy, crêped chiffon. Ruffled collar and V-neck with drawstring at top. Wide, raglan balloon sleeves, and skirt in gathered tiers with flounce at hem.  This dress makes me want to twirl! If you feel the dress is too short, legging would be appropriate. I’m pretty short, the length is perfect for me.

Again, minimal accessories were needed. The drawstring V-neck eliminated the need for a necklace. Of course you could wear one if you wanted to. I hear a lot of people say “I could never put that together” Dresses like this, make it easy! I’m never without some sort of accessory. Glittery earrings keep with the holiday vibe. Instead if a pump, I opted for ankle boots. The black satin fabric with flower decal finished the look. I LOVE how they look with this dress.

Style Tip: Most tiered dresses look fabulous with angle boots!

My Bag today, sequin… enough said!

Sunday Look: Holiday Red “Animal Print Trimmed in Red”

Hello friends! By now, most of us are in full holiday mode. Planning family gatherings, parties, menus and gift giving. I just love this time of year!

For me, wardrobe planning is a great part of my holiday planning. Like I mentioned last week, I like to wear RED on Sunday’s in December. It’s sort of my homage to Christmas.

Today’s outfit is a twist, yet it included RED. I loved the idea of wearing animal print. It’s just another way to add that element of surprise to any holiday outfit. I’ve always talked about pulling out one color in your outfit to accessorize. The sash was trimmed in RED which gave me the style opportunity.

In keeping with my theme, I accessorized in RED. Teardrop earrings, a beaded necklace and the perfect shade of RED heels topped with a bow. How perfect is that?

My BAG today, a small RED vinyl wristlet. Simply stated.

Don’t be afraid to add another element of style to any outfit.

Sunday Look: Holiday Red “The Beginning in Houndstooth”

Hello guys, welcome to December! Can you believe this year is almost over? I just wanted to jump on here and welcome you to December. I also hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving Holiday. I must admit the four day weekend was nice! I cooked and hosted for fifteen. Yay me! 🙂

As we approach my favorite time of the year, I can’t help but be excited. I’m so ready for all the glitz and glamour that the holiday brings. Not forgetting the real reason for the season.

If you’ve followed me in the past, you know that I love wearing RED the entire month of December. I’m not sure I can pull it off again this year, but I’m sure going to try.

I’ve started this Holiday season with a red and black houndstooth Poncho. The cape and poncho are back, and they’re more sleek and sophisticated than ever. Especially this one with a faux fur collar. It added another level of sophistication. I simply draped this one over a sleeveless sheath dress. I loved the look. It was almost a one and done.

Accessorizing was never easier. I wore red drop earrings and added a gold broach to the fur collar, that’s it! I wore black knee-high boots for the finish.

My BAG today was a dressy black leather medium tote with a Chanel chain.

Let the RED Glam begin…

Sunday Look: Holiday Crush

Image result for christmas art

Happy Sunday everyone!  It’s really beginning to look a lot like Christmas, LOL… So much is happening.  Everything is so beautiful.  We had the honor of watching our granddaughter sing in the Holiday concert at her school.  Such beautiful voices, we enjoyed every minute.  Another treat was the 7 Sayings of Christmas our church does each year.

Well, you know me and the Holidays, RED, RED, RED.  I’m so obsessed with this color and it certainly does scream HOLIDAY TIME… FOR ME.

Believe it or not, this outfit wasn’t planned.  I had planned on wearing the top with a black skirt. At the very last minute I changed.  “Crush Velvet” sounds like an old-fashioned term doesn’t it?  I haven’t heard that term in forever, nor have I worn it.  I’ve had this red cold shoulder velvet top for a while.  I wore it Valentine’s Day.  It’s a top for dual holidays 😉 .  There are so many ways to style this top.  I paired it with a few different options this morning.  Pink slacks, two different hues and black skirts. (Are you surprised about the pink option?)  I totally forgot about these black crush velvet joggers, the tapered at the ankle makes them dressier than elastic.  I added a black ribbon tied in a perfect bow.

When you reach the bottom of this post and see where I purchased both of these you will be surprised.  This just goes to show “you make the clothes, the clothes don’t make you”.  Everything doesn’t have to be expensive and name brand for you to look good.  I love my  cheap inexpensive outfit!  I felt like a million bucks 🙂 .

There was no better way to accessorize this outfit than with BLING.  You can’t ask for a better backdrop.  Let’s not forget the pointy toe shoes!

My handbag has festive details with pearls and red stones. I call this one my “Holiday Bag”!

Sunday Look: Holiday Tulle

Happy Sunday!  What have you all been up to so far this Holiday Season?  I’m enjoying all the glitz and glamour.  Even though I enjoy it all, I’m still very aware of the “Reason for the Season”.  I’ve finished all my inside decorations and things are looking oh so beautiful and festive.

In keeping with my Holiday tradition of wearing RED, I managed to keep it festive again.  I think I’ve mentioned this before, I love to shop in the kids department sometimes, they have some really cute clothing that’s appropriate for adults 🙂 .   My skirt was a kids department find.  I love tulle… This skirt is frilly & festive with a hint of glitter, making it the perfect piece for Christmas that’s both fashionable and comfortable.  I paired it with a RED sheeny knit top featuring a round neckline, long shirred balloon sleeves with banded cuffs.   The fit is so smooth and sleek, it made tucking easy.

I accessorized with a pair of very festive open teardrop floral earrings with the look of sequins.  Instead of wearing a necklace, I opted for a Christmas scarf, tied in a festive bow.   I chose a satin high heel shoe with a square rhinestone buckle on the toe.

My handbag today had to be red as well.   Not only was it red, but red sequins. There was no better pairing for tulle and satin than a sequins handbag.

Sunday Look: Holiday Beginnings in Red

Happy Sunday and Hello December!  Can you believe the holiday’s are really officially here?  It seems like people get into the holiday spirit earlier and earlier every year.  I always have this idea in my head about what my holiday wardrobe will be (or what I would like for it to be).  In all actuality, it never happens the way I envision.  That’s OK though, somehow I always manage to pull something together.   Most of you know that RED is my favorite color, and I always try to fit it into my holiday wardrobe.
Trending fabrics this season are plaid Image result for christmas plaid fabric and sequin Image result for sequin fabric .  I love (red) plaid for the holidays and I can’t express myself enough regarding sequin.  I’m all about the · bling · 😉 .
Today I wore red, (duh!)…  The two-piece sleeveless midi dress and matching long cardigan can be worn any season.  This morning was a little bit cool and the cardigan was a perfect accompaniment.

I accessorized with a matching two-toned clutch and shoes.   I don’t normally match those two, but today I decided to twin 😉 .  I added a statement necklace in red and thick gold hoop earrings.  Nothing more.

I’m so excited for the holidays. I’m trying to get my house decorated.  Take  a peek.

Sunday Look: Christmas Ball Skirt & Trumpet Cuffs

Happy Christmas Eve… Who else is excited to celebrate the wonder of his LOVE.  I will keep todays post short.  I have so much to do for our family’s annual Christmas Eve Party.  It’s almost time to put on our PJ’s and veg out!  We always have so much fun.  I wonder what the grand girls will do this year.

Today’s outfit although it’s not all red like I’ve done the past few Sunday’s,  I’m still festive.  Wearing my red, black and green sheer mesh knit bodysuit featuring an allover floral print, a round neckline, long sleeves with trumpet cuffs.  I’ve paired it with my all-time favorite ball skirt with loose pleats and pockets.  I adore this skirt so much.  It really dresses up any top you could pair with it.  Most of all the RED screams CHRISTMAS !!!

I’m keeping my accessories minimal. I’m wearing earrings in a deep red gemstone with matching necklace.   I couldn’t resist wearing these red pointy toe suede pumps with a bow detail. I even threw on a pair of stockings ( thigh highs) 😉 .

My BAG today is a sparkle of sequence.  It’s the finishing touch for the entire outfit.

I just love this time of year.  Everyone is so loving, giving and all is sparkling.
Until next time, Merry Christmas you all!

Sunday Look: Pearls At Christmas Time

Happy Sunday! It’s hard to believe we are one week away from Christmas Eve and the most exciting day of the year Christmas! I can feel the excitement in the air.  Especially after today’s church service.  It was our annual Christmas Play, “A Hallelujah Christmas”.
Here I go again in RED 😉 .  I just can’t resist wearing red for the Holidays.  There is something about RED and the Christmas Holiday Season… After all, its the most wonderful time of the year 🙂 …  Everything is twinkling and glowing!

Today’s dress, a scoop neck chiffon overlay maxi dress belted, side slits and back zipper. The three-quarter sleeves are just right for the season.  I chose the best accessory from my jewelry wall, “Pearls”  The multiple strands of pearls elevate the look to elegance.  My shoes fashioned in a sleek patent finish, pointed toe and tall stiletto heel in two-toned red and cream.

My BAG, a small clutch that matched my shoes.  I don’t usually do matchy, matchy, but this worked!

Time to get out there and finish shopping, start wrapping and preparing the Christmas dinner!

Sunday Look: Holiday Stripes

See the source imageHappy Sunday!  This past week was very interesting.  The most exciting thing, SNOW, yes snow!  Everyone including myself was so excited.  Snow is not something we see very often, especially not before Christmas.  It really made it feel like the  HOLIDAYS!  It’s all gone now 🙁 and the temperatures, well… 🙁 ! See the source image

See the source imageIn keeping with the Christmas season I felt like incorporating red into my wardrobe again this week (it’s my favorite color in case you didn’t know).  I was feeling brave by wearing this form fitting  sweater dress.  But there was something about it that spoke HOLIDAY to me.  The red and back stripes has a woven line of sparkle in-between each stripe.  I was surprised at how form fitting it was and felt like it needed a belt.  Instead of a traditional belt, I tied a wide black ribbon in a bow around my waist, that really changed the entire look.

I accessorized with long faux diamond earrings, long necklace and bangles.  Instead of wearing a red shoe I opted for black pointy toe RED BOTTOMS instead 😉 .

My (old) little black velvet handbag added that extra holiday sparkle from the two little rhinestone bling medallions.   Even though this bag is very old, it still fits todays fashion trends.  Never get rid of your handbags!  They could make a fashion comeback years later, Okay!
