Sunday Look: BOHO Maxi in Plum

Happy Sunday…. Time is really flying by, before you know it will be December (I don’t want to think about that).  All of a sudden seems like Fall is in full bloom.  Everywhere I look I see something or someone dressed for the season.  Last week I talked about the “Jewel Tones” being the perfect Fall season color. It continues…
Today’s outfit is a BOHO maxi dress in a rich plum floral print adorned with bell sleeves, surplice neckline and sash.  It also has a surprising (church appropriate) split.  I don’t wear a lot of maxi dresses but this one will be getting a lot of wear this Fall.  This particular maxi can be dressed down as well.

There are several ways to accessorize a BOHO maxi.  I made a statement.  By statement I mean the “necklace”.  I wanted it to pop.   Instead of doing that with color, I did it with BLING.  Just like last week, my necklace has matching earrings, which I wore.  I always like to pull out a couple of colors from the color pallet.  I wore a shoe mimicking the lightest color found in the dress. Pointy toe and skinny heel of course 😉 .

STYLE TIP: As we get deeper into Fall I can see this maxi dress being worn with long dangling earrings, floppy hat (or not) and a pair of suede booties, so chic!  Hopefully that’s a moment I will capture and share.
My BAG today is one of my favorites, I have this particular bag in four different colors, yep, one for each season! This one picks up on one of the other colors in the dress as well.  This purse has a long chain and it’s actually a shoulder bag.  I have a little trick that I do with my shoulder strap bags. I tie the chain (or strap) inside making it into the perfect handbag.

I’m back!  Last week I was in beautiful Florida and Savannah Georgia.  It was a great trip, happy to back blogging.

Since the heat has set in I chose to dress casual by going Boho Chic.  This style of clothing is so relaxing. Boho got its name from hippie and gypsy fashion.  The loose fitting clothing leaves you feeling so FREE… LOL

As I was shopping one of the big discount stores I saw the skirt first and liked it, as I continued to walk around I saw this top, immediately  I said “BOHO”.  Not my normal style of clothing but I liked it…  you know my motto!.  I had forgotten all about this wedge until this morning.  It’s all the shoe I needed for this outfit.  I accessorized with a simple necklace, earrings, bangles and watch.  Notice how I mixed a combination of gold and silver.  Its ok to mix metals!

NEXT WEEK: Picnic Sunday
