Sunday Look: Spring Wings

Happy Sunday.  We are having a beautiful Spring day!  The temperature is perfect.  Today’s outfit “Spring Wings” comes from this dress I’ve had in my closet for three seasons now.  I actually thought I would never wear it.  Today I saw it in a different light, LOL.

The cape sleeve has been trending, this dress even though it was purchased three seasons ago is still with the trend.   The fabric is very light weight and perfect for Spring.  We all know black and white to be classic no matter the season.

I accessorized with a rose cut detail necklace that falls right above the neckline.  My earrings happen to be clip-on (boy do they hurt!) but I thought they went well with the entire look.  And pointy toe shoes!

My BAG was a fun touch.  This silver hammered box clutch (didn’t hold much) was the perfect (silver)  accent piece. I ♥ my BAGS.

Sunday Look: Super Sunday- Casual

Happy SUPER Sunday!… Today is what most of us have been waiting for even if our team isn’t playing.  That brings me to today’s outfit.  I’m SUPER casual and SUPER comfortable.  Not only was I able to wear this outfit to church but I can easily transition into today’s festivities.  All I have to do is put on a pair of flats 😉 and I’m on my way to being SUPER, SUPER comfortable.

This outfit was SUPER simple to put together.  Basically all I had to do was put on high heels and throw on a necklace.  It’s that simple!  Of course I took it a little further by adding an arm full of bangles, earrings and watch. TOUCHDOWN!!!!

My BAG today was SUPER cute and simple as well.  It’s just a beaded box and I love it!

Since it’s SUPER SUNDAY I thought I’d be playful with my touch down pillow!  Enjoy the game!

Sunday Social: Mock Smock Top Dress (Featuring Thanksgiving Tablescape)

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  Ours was great.  Even though Thanksgiving wears me out, I love this time of year and I’m so thankful to have all my family together.  I decided to share a few photos of my Thanksgiving tablescape.  I thought it turned out beautifully.  Setting the table reminds me of my childhood when my mother would set her table for Thanksgiving.  It’s my hope that down the road my grand girls will keep the tradition going as they enter into their adult lives with a family. Enjoy!

Now, as we transition into full bloom “Christmas Holiday Season Image result for christmas tree images clip art
I thought I would start it off in black and white.  This mock smock top dress gives the illusion of being a two-piece but its actually all one piece. I love the  fit, very slimming.  You can never go wrong with black and white, its timeless and makes for a classy look.
If it had been COLD here (wishful thinking) I could have easily worn a (black) turtle neck or collared blouse underneath.  The round neck of the dress is perfect for a turtle neck or collar type top.  Maybe I will be able to do that at some point this coming Winter.
I didn’t want to add a lot of accessories (which I did) but they were very understated pieces. I chose two beaded bracelets and a matching necklace and earring set.
My BAG:  You all know by now how much I LOVE handbags.  This one is no different.  When I saw it I was like “OMG” that is so cute all the while passing it up.  You know what happened next, I hightailed it back around and picked it up.  A girl can never have too many black bags or any handbag for that matter.  What I like about this one is the round shape and it has fringe! 🙂 I thought it was the perfect final touch to my outfit.

Blessed for another Sunday!  You know sometimes you have one of those days where nothing seems to fit or doesn’t look right.  Well today was one of those days.  Let’s just say I have some work to do 😉 .

On the flipside of all that madness…. You know its good when you can grab a dress from your closet and all you really need to do is add shoes.  This is basically all I did, “added shoes” LOL…  This black and white tribal print long dress with side slits took NO EFFORT to style.  And after the way my morning started its a good thing.  This dress is so simple. I didn’t need a necklace, the embellished neck was enough.  Since a girl needs to wear some kind of jewelry, I kept it simple by adding earrings of course, watch, understated bangles, rings (one with a pop of color) and a RED LIP

Style Tip: No matter how “Simple or Understated” it’s all fashion

What a great day for family. We traveled to Waco today to witness my great-niece Kenedi dedication to Christ. We had a wonderful time. She wore a beautiful white dress, white shoes, white flower headband and colorful baby bibs LOL… She stole the hearts of the entire congregation.
I can’t even compare. Kenedi was the STAR today. But if you must know, I picked this dress especially for the baby dedication 😉 . From time to time I hit up the discount department stores for quantity! You can find great bargains on name brand clothing and still look good. This dress is one! You won’t believe what I paid for it, not very much!
After the church service we all gathered at a local steakhouse/country store for lunch. This is where the photos were taken. Anyway, I missed my church today, BUT it was for a great cause in celebrating Baby Kenedi.
OH, “Happy Siblings Day”…

What a Beautiful Sunday!  Spring is one week away, I can’t wait.  How did you fair with this  Day Light Savings Time?  I was prepared this morning, laid out my clothes last night and woke up at my normal time.
For those that don’t know, this skirt is called a Bandage Skirt.  Its made from multiple strips of cloth sewn together with the individual strips shaped like bandages.  Simple enough…  Its very flattering with a strong elastic waist. This skirt will look good on any body type. Don’t be afraid to try new styles and fit.  You just might be surprised!
I purchased the entire outfit including necklace and earrings (minus the shoes) at the same store. That’s what I call one stop shopping 😉
My purse is a very old “vintage”… it added that pop of color I needed to break-up the Black & White. I really adore the V-neck, button down top. My necklace filled the open space perfectly. The satin sling backs pulled it all together.

Happy First Sunday of 2016… What a blessing to see another year, day and month.  We had a very uplifting church service today. What a way to start off the year.

I thought, why not start the year by wearing the classic “Black and White”.  There is something to be said about animal print and leather accents, it just makes a statement.

Look I’m wearing hose again 🙂 .  I went back and forth from a pointy toe to round toe shoe and “Pointy” won.  As I’ve said before that “Pointy Toe” is always on point… LOL

I debated whether or not to wear a necklace.  This one had just the right about of bling, who doesn’t love a little bling.  I’ve had the necklace for a few years, I don’t remember where it was purchased.  My earrings are part of another set but they paired perfectly with the necklace and dress. That leaves my bag, subtle bling, bling… AND I never forget the arm candy (watch, bracelets).

Happy Sunday! I took last week off from my usual post of “Sunday Social”.  My husband and I decided to take advantage of the long weekend and took a mini vacation to San Antonio, one of our favorite cities.

As I prepare to transition into fall, I will always have Black & White in my wardrobe.  Some think that wearing white after Labor Day is a fashion faux pas… not true at all.
It all depends on how you wear it.

Today’s outfit is simple and classic.  Black & White is so versatile that you can pair it with any color.  I chose BLUE”…  mainly my shoes, necklace and bag.  My earrings have a combination of black, white, yellow and blue.  My latest obsession are these colorful glass bracelets that I purchased while in San Antonio.  Well paired.

What a great weekend it has been….  Happy Sunday…  Today’s outfit was cute yet simple.  I think I will place it in the fun category.  I chose this black and white pencil skirt and somewhat of a see thru crop top (not quite) with a cami.  Fringe accompanied me by way of my shoes and purse 🙂  Oh! Notice I’m not wearing my usual sunglasses.  I just picked up a new pair yesterday.   There is BEAUTI in everything, find it…

Happy Sunday! Today was an awesome day at church we had an old fashion revival .

Today I thought I would do a play on colors. “No Rules” I wore this black and white polka dot top from Dillards (Gianni Bini) and yellow pencil skirt.  I’ve had the top since last summer.  I was hoping to find a yellow skirt to wear with it.  I looked for months but couldn’t find the right one.   I wondered upon this one while cruising the mall at New York & Company.  Just so happen they were having a 50% off sale, lucky me.

The blue shoes, the blue shoes LOL… they are Kenneth Cole Reaction, they were purchased with this look in mind.  My yellow clutch topped it all off.   You can shop this entire look here and here.   My BEAUTI today the BLUE SHOES…
