Sunday Look: It’s Pastel Season

Happy Sunday!  I hope this past week was good to you.  We still seem to be caught between seasons.  But! I am enjoying the cool Spring mornings.

Today’s outfit is a throwback from two years ago.  I decided to go a little further into my closet to see what was hanging around that I hadn’t worn in a while.  I ran across this box lace, baby doll dress with a drawstring neck. It was perfect for a cool Spring morning.  I remember calling this dress “effortless”.  I say that because, all you really need are shoes 🙂 .  It has the sweetest details and stands out in a girly kind of way, especially with the ric rac trim on the sleeves and hem. I restyled with different shoes, bag and jewelry.

One thing about this dress, little to no jewelry is needed. The drawstring neck eliminates the need for a necklace, therefore I didn’t wear one.  I did wear earrings with a pop of color.  I added a nude ankle strap pump to the mix.  Nude accessories (especially shoes) pairs really well with your  pastel color pallets.

My BAG; one I’ve carried many times. A woven faux leather flap bag in a nude color as well.  Pretty effortless right?

Sunday Look: Roses are Blue…Baby Doll Dress

Happy Sunday!  What a difference it makes when you can get a full day of rest.  Yesterday I did absolutely nothing (except decorate my dining room table for Thanksgiving). Other than that we had a free weekend, the grand girls were sports free.  I should be well rested.  Late last night I decided to try on outfits for today.  Well, this morning I changed my mind 🙂 .  Luckily for me all I did was grab and go!  Which leads me to today’s outfit.

Roses are Blue is what I’m calling this dress.  I have to admit I fell in Love with this dress right away.  Wait until you see where I purchased it from down below.  All I have to say is “you make the clothes, the clothes don’t make you”.
The look of vintage in the mesh (I told you its trending)™. This mesh dress makes for a sultry look, while the embroidered flowers add sweet, feminine detail. The thin, mesh material and delicate flowers come together for a one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted look.  This dress turned heads LOL… It would be perfect for your next dinner party or night out.

I kept the accessories really simple. Notice, no necklace, really didn’t need one at all. Just the right amount of skin peeks through the mesh.  Black earrings, sparkly bracelet and ring did the rest.  The dress can easily stand for itself.  I chose an ombre patent leather shoe in blue and black.  I heard someone say the other day that ombre is out ( I think they were talking about hair though).  Anyway, I beg to differ.  I like it and I wore it 😉 .

My BAG today was fairly simple.  I chose a long blue clutch that felt so right for this outfit.  I did try three others but this one was perfect.

Like I said before, you make the clothes the clothes don’t make you!  I wear what I like and you should too!  Don’t get me wrong, I love a designer piece. But everything doesn’t have to be $$$ for you to look good or feel good.

I have to start out by saying “what a powerful word” we had in church this morning.          Exodus 2:11-15 “The Moses Predicament”

Let’s talk about today’s outfit. You know when you’re out browsing and you run across a dress you don’t like but for some reason you keep going back and you had to try it on. Well! That was me, meet “Jackleen”… After trying it on I was in LOVE. I can’t quite put my finger on just one thing I like about it; the butterfly sleeves, ruffled hem, fabric, etc.

This dress has endless possibilities. It can be styled with flats, a floppy hat, even pearls. Not sure how I will style it the next time I wear it. I will be sure to let you know.

I’m thinking I kept the accessories to a minimum, did I really? The FUN ACCESSORY this week: my Cigar Box Purse. It’s old, I’ve had it for many years, so many that I forgot all about it. I found it a few weeks ago, boy was I excited! Isn’t she cute? That’s it for today, see you next time XO…

Happpy Sunday (evening),  I’m a bit late posting today.  We decided to take a drive after church to San Antonio for a late lunch with friends.
Today’s outfit was fairly simple.  I’m all blushed out in this babydoll crochet lace dress.  It has me feeling like a school girl.  Having a drawstring at the neck required no jewelry.   Nude pumps rounded out the look. Told you it was simple.   Yet, still stylish 😉 . Fashion should be effortless. NO RULES!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July celebration. I survived. Today’s outfit is another favorite of mine. I haven’t worn it for a couple of years now. After seeing it on I wonder why I waited so long to wear it again. This orange Baby Doll dress is by Cremieux, my favorite brand for dresses. The shoes are Dolce Vita from Nordstrom. Lastly, my favorite sunglasses by Marc Jacobs. This Post has quite a few favorites. It’s all about the BEAUTI … make it fun.
