Sunday Social: Pencil Skirt & Dots

Processed with Moldiv

Happy Sunday! Today was an awesome day at church we had an old fashion revival .

Today I thought I would do a play on colors. “No Rules” I wore this black and white polka dot top from Dillards (Gianni Bini) and yellow pencil skirt.  I’ve had the top since last summer.  I was hoping to find a yellow skirt to wear with it.  I looked for months but couldn’t find the right one.   I wondered upon this one while cruising the mall at New York & Company.  Just so happen they were having a 50% off sale, lucky me.

The blue shoes, the blue shoes LOL… they are Kenneth Cole Reaction, they were purchased with this look in mind.  My yellow clutch topped it all off.   You can shop this entire look here and here.   My BEAUTI today the BLUE SHOES…

Street Style: Romp that Romper

The Romper… Another great find. Today I thought I would rock the Romper, I haven’t worn one in years.  If I can wear one… so can you.  I purchased this Romper from Old Navy a while back for just $12.99; it was hiding on the clearance rack.  I love putting black, white and red together. Romp the BEAUTI yall…

Happy Sunday and Happy Father’s Day to all Dads out there. Today was another rainy day and we had to take photos inside.

This color block Vince Camuto jumpsuit was purchased a couple of years ago from Dillards. My black peep toe shoes are by Gianni Bini, were also purchased at Dillards.

The most exciting thing about this look is the “purse”. Let me tell you about this purse. It is very, very old, about 15 years or more. Back in the day J Renee’ was my favorite go to brand for shoes and the matching purse. Believe it or not, today was my first time carrying the purse.  I tore the tag off this morning when I pulled it out.  If I remember correctly I also purchased a shoe with like fabric.  Brings back memories.  I found the BEAUTI in something old… (J Renee’ items can be purchased from several different department stores and outlets.)

Cosmetic Review ‘Cream Eyeliner”

How many of you are like me and think you have to pay a lot of money for makeup?  My daughter told me about this cream eyeliner.  I had no idea I could actually find a cosmetic I really like and didn’t have to pay a lot of money for it.  I LOVE this ‘Wet n Wild” cream eyeliner by Fergie.  It goes on smooth, doesn’t run and lasts all day.  This one is called “Little Black Dress”  it also comes in the color COCOA (brown).  I purchased this from Walgreens it was only $5.49 sweet…..

I accidently left the top off over night and it didn’t dry out.  If you give it a try, I would love to hear your thoughts as I will be doing other cosmetic reviews down the road.  I found the BEAUTI in this eyeliner.

Chunky Avocado Salsa

Need a dish to whip up before you head out to the cookout.  Try this simple, refreshing and easy recipe.

Chunky Avocado & Corn Salsa

Serves 4-5

2 large avocados (firm not too soft) diced.

¼ cup red onion diced

2 ears of corn steamed and cut off cob (you can use frozen).

1 cup of diced tomatoes (I used cherry tomatoes)

¼ cup cilantro

½ tsp. salt (or as desired)

¼ tsp. pepper

Juice of two limes

Optional (1 diced jalapenos pepper for added heat)

Toss all ingredients together gently.

Serve with Tortilla Chips or anything you like!

Sunday Social: I’m in Blue

Processed with Moldiv

Happy Sunday.  I’m wearing BLUE.  Today was a special day at church.   I serve as Chairperson for a scholarship that is given to one of our graduating High School Seniors.  I presented that scholarship today to a deserving young lady.

My husband chose my entire outfit for today. This BLUE ribbed dress by Cremieux was very flattering.  As you can tell from previous posts I LOVE Cremieux , they fit me so well.  I had selected a different shoe one I have been itching to wear (I will be sharing that shoe soon) but my husband suggested I wear my nude Christian Louboutin.  My watch is Michael Kors, and the rest of my jewelry is from deep within jewelry box.  Shades are Marc Jacobs, I picked up the purse at Nordstrom Rack.   Photos were taken in our backyard.  As always I felt the BEAUTI.
